๐ An Evening Without Kate Bush ๐
Kate Bush will not be there. That is very much the point. An Evening Without Kate Bush is an award-winning cult cabaret that celebrates the **music, fans and mythology** surrounding one of popโs most singular artists โ with enough theatrical imagination to make the absence part of the fun.
โจ **What makes it special:** the show invites audiences straight into Bush-world: enter *Strange Phenomena*, howl with the *Hounds of Love* and, yes, dance on the moors with *Wuthering Heights*. It is not a conventional tribute act trying to recreate the artist note for note. Instead, the production explores the songs, the fandom and the strange cultural orbit that has grown around her work.
Kate Bush was only 19 when she released *Wuthering Heights*, and decades later she was still capable of selling out the Hammersmith Apollo and surprising audiences. Her fans have remained fiercely loyal through every shift. More recently, another wave of listeners found their way into the catalogue through *Stranger Things*, proving that this music keeps finding new people.
That means the room can hold longtime โFish Peopleโ and complete newcomers at the same time. The show actively encourages the audience to **release their inner Bush**, so this is closer to a joyful communal cabaret than a respectful museum tour through pop history.
Made by **Sarah-Louise Young and Russell Lucas**, the production has earned praise for transporting audiences even when they are not already committed Kate Bush fans. The humour, performance and shared affection for the material are the engine.
๐ **Date:** Saturday 31 October 2026

If you know every dramatic arm movement from *Wuthering Heights*, you probably already understand the assignment. If you only know a song or two, you are still invited in. โจ The show is built to celebrate the imagination around the music as much as the music itself โ playful, affectionate, a little strange and very happy to let the audience join the mythology.
โจ The result is a celebration for people who love theatrical pop, cult fandom and performances that refuse to behave like ordinary tribute shows. It takes the recognisable pieces of Kate Bushโs world and turns them into a live, communal experience rather than simply replaying the originals.
